This wood fired oven's shape is based on the design of masonry ovens from rural France in the 17th century. The ovens found in rural areas of Europe were typically horizontal, tunnel style, retained heat ovens. However, the French were not the first to implement this design into their bread ovens. Early Roman wood burning ovens were designed in the same fashion as well. Fast forward to the 21st century, Wildwood brings you this design in a compact, quick heating, refractory oven.
